“Birds Are Singing in Kigali” in Competition of the Batumi Film Festival 2017 / by Ada Zielinska

Birds Are Singing in Kigali by Joanna Kos-Krauze and Krzysztof Krauze will be presented in competition of the Batumi FF that takes place between Sept 17th-24th. The festival’s Jury President this year will be the famous Iranian film director Mohsen Makhmalbaf.  

Batumi FF – one of the major Georgian film events presents the films in international competition, Georgian Panorama and the Masters program. The international competition comprises of ten features – alongside the “Birds Are Singing in Kigali” – among others Yesim Ustaoglu’s “Claire Obscure,” Sergei Loznitsa’s “Gentle Creature,” and Sally Potter’s “Party.”
